About This Blog

Welcome to this corner of the internet — a space dedicated to exploring the deeper meanings, emotions, and philosophies hidden within Japanese anime.

Each article on this blog takes a closer look at a different series, episode, or moment — not just retelling what happened, but reflecting on why it mattered. From timeless classics to modern masterpieces, the goal is to uncover the quiet themes, symbols, and emotions that make anime such a powerful medium of storytelling.

What makes my perspective unique is the "lens" through which I view these worlds. Based in Japan, I bring a technical and structural eye to the landscapes that inspired these stories. I hold the highest level of national certification recognized by the Japanese government:

  • Nationally Certified 1st Grade Landscape Construction Management Engineer
  • Nationally Certified 1st Grade Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineer

These licenses, granted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, authorize me to oversee major infrastructure and landscape projects across Japan.

Sometimes the focus is on character psychology. Sometimes it’s on the way light, silence, or time are used to express feelings words can’t.

And sometimes, I look at the way a world is built — how a bridge’s architecture, a traditional garden’s layout, or the specific terrain of a "holy land" mirrors the emotional journey of the characters. My professional experience in the Japanese construction industry provides a grounded, realistic foundation for these reflections.

This blog is written with affection, curiosity, and a professional eye — by someone who grew up surrounded by anime, and still finds new layers in it with every rewatch.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or just beginning your journey, I hope these essays give you something to think about… or simply remind you why anime moves us in the first place.
